WIRELESS TECHNOLOGY PARK (WTP) is one of the biggest events in Japan focused on research and development of wireless communication technologies. Consisting of exhibition, seminars, and academic programs, WTP assembles the latest technologies and products which are essential for future ICT society. Under the main theme “5G & IoT -Creating New Value” of this year, WTP features the 5th Generation Mobile Communications System (5G), the most advanced technologies in mobile communication, and introduces various wireless technologies applicable to the Internet of Things (IoT) throughout the show.

NICT will join the event not only as an organizer but also as an exhibitor in the show and the speaker in some seminars. We will present the latest R&D results in wireless and satellite communications and the remarkable activities for social innovation using IoT/Big data.

Special Features

International Day (May 25)
On the day, a series of presentations will be given in “International Session” on hot topics such as LPWA (Low Power, Wide Area), IoT and 5G, and English explanation will be available at major booths in the exhibition.
Support for business matching with Japanese exhibitors will also be available.

Flexible Factory Project
Flexible Factory Project is a verification project of wireless communication technologies to accelerate factory IoT through harmonization and stabilization as keys to control various and mixed wireless systems. At the booth, you can find their latest results, especially about how to apply wireless technologies into the management/monitoring at manufacturing.

5G Tokyo Bay Summit® 2017
The 5G Tokyo Bay Summit® 2017 will present the latest 5G initiatives by major mobile operators and manufacturers in the world, in addition to the expected use cases with new services and applications on 5G, through various demonstrations and seminars.
