Research theme

We are not always aware of our mood and cognitive states and may not notice changes in these states. Measuring brain activity in daily life is one effective means of monitoring changes in our cognitive states of which we are unaware.
My research theme is to develop applications that use electroencephalographic measurements in real-world environments to estimate human cognitive states that are difficult to recognize explicitly, such as mental workload, mood, and motivation, and apply them to neurofeedback, rehabilitation, and learning systems.
