Project Introduction

This project proposes a regional co-development and deployment of a customizable Indoor Tracking System (ITS) platform, utilizing Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology for high-accuracy indoor positioning. Designed as a modular, scalable solution, the ITS platform will serve as a common reference architecture that ASEAN members can localize to meet diverse challenges in healthcare, smart manufacturing, and energy-efficient building management.

Pilot activities will be conducted in Vietnam (Smart Hospital and Manufacturing floor) and Thailand (occupancy-based HVAC control in Smart Buildings), supported by MIMOS’s platform expertise and NICT’s advisory and funding support. By enabling partner institutions to customize, deploy, and scale the ITS platform, the initiative demonstrates how shared ICT infrastructure can drive inclusive and sustainable digital transformation across ASEAN, creating a foundation for broader interoperability, commercial uptake, and public-sector integration.
